Sergio Rubini returns to Fandango with Mi rifaccio vivo

Sergio Rubini (photo) is about to embark on his 11th feature as a director with Mi rifaccio vivo. For it, he will once again work with Fandango, the production company that launched his career behind the camera in 1990 with The Station and with which he also made The Blond (1992) and Our Land (2004). Fandango and Rai Cinema have announced that filming for Mi rifaccio vivo will start on July 16 in Rome. The film will be entirely shot in the Italian capital over the course of seven weeks.

Rubini, Carla Cavalluzzi, and Umberto Marino have written the screenplay of this hilarious story, in which the enterprising Biagio Bianchetti (Lillo, half of the Italian comic duo Lillo e Greg) who owns the BB stores, who will once again come up against the fortunate and fascinating Ottone Di Valerio (played by Neri Marcorè), as he has endlessly been doing since they first met in school.

The rest of the cast is to include Vanessa Incontrada, Margherita Buy, Emilio Solfrizzi, and Valentina Cervi. Fabio Cianchetti will handle the film's cinematography, Roberto De Angelis its production design, Patrizia Chericoni its wardrobe, and Angelo Nicolini the editing.
