The Swedish actress who won a Guldbagge for Pure, plays a successful young woman with a successful career, secure relationship, whose life suddenly falls apart as she starts to doubt about her personal journey. She starts going to group therapy and meets other people with different kinds of traumas. The project based on Langseth’s own original script is described by production outfit B-Reel Feature Films as ‘an anarchistic psychological drama that asks questions about identity and personality crisis in our modern society.”

Vikander who was in Cannes yesterday to introduce the film said she was ‘very happy to work again with Langseth and to have been offered a strong script where you laugh and cry at the same time”. The €2m film is co-produced with Denmark’s Nimbus Film, with support from the Swedish and Danish film institutes and Film i Väst.

B-Reel Features (formerly known as St Paul Film) has several other major projects in its pipeline: Pernilla August will direct Den allvarsamma leken (The Serious Game) based on Hjalmar Söderberg’s classic novel that will be adapted for the screen by the multi-awarded Dane Lone Scherfig (An Education [+see also:

). Filming of the project to be made as a feature and TV series will start in March 2013.

The production company headed by Fredrik Heinig and Johannes Åhlund will first bring to the screens the documentary Palme, 25 years after the death of Sweden’s former Prime Minister. The feature film and TV series in three parts is directed by Maud Nycander and Kristina Lindström. Scanbox will release the feature version in September.
