Susana de la Sierra Morón appointed new managing director of ICAA

Today, January 13, the Council of Ministers appointed Susana de la Sierra Morón as managing director of Spain’s highest public body for film management, the Institute of Film and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA).

Born in Santander in 1975, De la Sierra Morón has a degree in law from Cantabria University, a doctorate in Legal Studies from the European University Institute in Florence and is an assistant professor in Administrative Law and head of the Centre for European Studies at Castilla-La Mancha University. Her area of specialisation is Cultural Law, particularly cinema and its taxation. She completed her research on film regulation in Comparative Law at Oxford and Columbia universities.

De la Sierra Morón replaces Carlos Cuadros, who was appointed by the previous Culture Minister, Ángeles González-Sinde, in October 2010.
