with Isabelle Adjani, was released in France on October 26, while the shooting of the Franco-German transport tale Upgrade ended last week.

The latter film, directed by Franziska Buch, stars Sandrine Bonnaire and Gérard Jugnot as well as hot German actress Jessica Schwarz. The film is a majority co-production for Iris, with their Luxembourg outfit Iris Productions putting up 31.5% of the budget and their French sister company, Drimage, part of the Iris Group, putting up 22.5%. The remaining 46% come from German outfit Wüste Film West.

The next Iris shoot starts January 23 in the Grand Duchy. Jean-Paul Lilienfeld (Skirt Day) will direct Sophie Marceau in Arrêtez-moi (Stop Me), an adaptation of Jean Teulé’s novel Les lois de la gravité. The book tells the story of a woman who walks into a police station and demands to be arrested for her husband’s “suicide”.

Further films on the company’s 2012 slate include Tous ensemble (All Together) from François Desagnat, with Zabou Breitman, Eric Cantona, Simon Abkarian and Léa Drucker, which will be produced by Iris Productions in Luxembourg, Iris Films in Belgium and their French partner, Rezo Productions, in France. The film looks at six young half-sisters and -brothers who are sick of having to move between their divorced parents and decide to move in together.

The police comedy and Bill James adaptation Tip Top is the latest film of Serge Bozon (La France). It will be co-produced by Iris Productions and Iris Films with Les Films Pelléas and star Isabelle Huppert, Sandrine Kiberlain and François Damiens.

Lastly, Un beau salaud (A Handsome Son of a Bitch) is the latest project by screenwriter and TV director Patrick Rotman. He will continue in the political vein of his earlier work (notably on The Conquest [+see also:

) by presenting another politically charged tale. The film will be produced by Drimage, Iris Productions and Iris Films.
