French Films tour UK

- From 6-31 March four recent French productions will tour eight British cities. The titles include L'auberge espagnole and Etre et Avoir

Unifrance and the French Institute of London are organising a French Film Tour of 8 UK cities that will unfold from 5-31 March. Organised with the collaboration of UGC Films UK and sponsored by Renault, four films will make stop-overs at the following cities (London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Ipswich, Sheffield, Birmingham, Manchester and Cardiff) :Embrassez qui vous voudrez by Michel Blanc, Être et avoir by Nicolas Philibert, L’Homme du train [+see also:

The aim of this operation for the four distributors involved : UGC Films UK, Metro Tartan, Pathé Distribution and CinéFrance is to create positive word-of-mouth prior to their UK release. All four films were well received on the release in France and elsewhere in Europe.

The following stars will take part in the tour : Charlotte Rampling, Lou Doillon, Jean Rochefort, Judith Godrèche, Romain Duris and Patrice Leconte.

On 5 and 6 March the Film Council and the Centre National de la Cinématographie (CNC) will hold a round-table about the distribution of French films in the UK.
