Element boards Parked, Sensation

Element Pictures Distribution (EPD) will release Darragh Byrne’s Parked [+see also:

(watch the video interview) in Irish cinemas on October 14, followed by writer/director Tom Hall’s Sensation on November 4.

Parked is the story of a homeless person, a drug abuser and a music teacher whose lives collide. The film stars Colm Meaney (pictured), Colin Morgan and Milka Ahlroth and is written by Ciaran Creagh.

Parked was the joint winner of the Best First Feature prize at the Galway Film Fleadh and was elected for festivals in Rotterdam, Brussels, Torino, Newport and Boston. Produced by Jacqueline Kerrin and Dominic Wright for Ripple World Pictures and Aleksi Bardy for Helsinki Filmi, it was funded by the Irish Film Board (IFB) and Finnish Film Foundation.

Starring Domhnall Gleeson and Luanne Gordon, Sensation recounts what happens when a sad sack Irish farmer meets a sex worker from New Zealand. Produced by Katie Holly and Kieron J. Walsh for Blinder Films, the film was financed by the IFB, Rotterdam Film Fund, Screen Scene and screened at several international film festivals including Toronto, Rotterdam and London.
