Two German productions competing in Shanghai

Two films from Germany are currently competing for the Jin Jue Award at the 14th Shanghai International Film Festival (June 11 – 19): Andreas Rogenhagen's Alive and Ticking (prod. Wüste Film) and Stephan Rick's The Good Neighbour / UnterNachbarn (kurhaus production).

are screening out of competition.

For the eighth time, in collaboration with German Films, the festival is presenting Focus Germany, a programme which consists of nine new productions. The opening film of this festival sidebar is Ralf Huettner's Vincent Wants to Sea [+see also:

, Mike Marzuk's Rock It! and Fridrik Thor Fridriksson's Mamma Gogo, are screening in the Panorama – Spectrum sidebar, and the short film section Mobile is presenting no less than eight films from Germany.

In Shanghai, the EFP (European Film Promotion) is presenting four of the 2011 Shooting Stars, including the German actor Alexander Fehling.
