NonStop goes Beyond the Border with Optimum

On the first day of the European Film Market (EFM), Scandinavian sales agent NonStop Sales has announced a deal with UK distributor Optimum Releasing on Swedish WW2 drama Beyond the Border (Gränsen) by Richard Holm. The film is one of five new titles the company is screening at the market.

The first part of a Swedish WW2 trilogy, Beyond the Border is an action-drama about the rescue of two young soldiers lost in the woods on Nazi-occupied soil after crossing the Swedish/Norwegian border. André Sjöberg (As It is in Heaven [+see also:

) who plays one of the leading roles, is also co-writer and co-producer with Johnny Steen.

The film was picked up by Optimum Releasing right after it opened in Sweden on January 28. German-speaking territories, France and other English-speaking countries are being negotiated in Berlin by NonStop’s sales team Michael Werner and Judith Toth.

Two romantic debut films set in Italy are also making their market premiere: The Italian Key by Finnish filmmaker Rosa Karo, and South of New York by Italian singer Elena Bonelli.
