Festival Scope offers selection of Panorama, Forum titles for first time
by Cineuropa
For the first time ever, a selection of entries from the Berlinale’s Panorama and Forum sections will be available to screen online for film professionals worldwide on the Festival Scope website.
The Berlinale is just one of the latest festivals to partner with the recently created Internet platform that allows registered professionals to screen films programmed at international film festivals, thereby giving rights holders an additional tool to promote their films at no cost.
The selection will be made available right after the closing of the European Film Market (February 10-18).
"To find the best possible way for each film from our program into the market, hence on its way to the audience, is our most noble goal," says Panorama director Wieland Speck.
"We are happy to be working with Festival Scope as it is our aim to help the films in our program gain access to the international market. We believe that Festival Scope is a great tool to promote the kind of independent and arthouse films so dear to us," says Forum director Christoph Terhechte.
