NonStop decides to Travel Alone

Stockholm-based sales outfit NonStop Sales has picked up Norwegian title I Travel Alone, the second film by Stian Kristiansen adapted from Tore Renberg's novels featuring Jarle Klepp.

, also handled by NonStop, won an Amanda for Best Film in 2008 and sold over 176,000 admissions.

In I Travel Alone we meet up with Klepp seven years later. Jarle (again played by Rolf Kristian Larsen) is now 25, a student of literature with a passion for Adorno, Proust and grown-up women. He has absolutely no interest in kids. However, the day he learns that he is a father of a seven-year-old girl he has to change. But is he really able to – or does he want to – take responsibility and become an adult?

Renberg’s trilogy novels about Klepp have been sold to several territories, including France, Germany, Poland, and Russia. I Travel Alone is produced by Yngve Sæther of Motlys Film, one of Norway’s leading production outfits.

The film will have its international market premiere at the European Film Market in Berlin (February 10-18). The Norwegian release via Sandrew Metronome is scheduled for February 10.
