by Fernando Léon de Aranoa won six of the ten awards at the 59th edition of the Spanish Film Writers’ Club including best film, screenplay (to de Aranoa and Ignacio del Moral), direction and actors – Javier Bardem, Luis Tòsar and Nieves Medina.
The other winners were Julio D-Wallovits and Roger Gaul for the debut feature Smoking room: respectively best newcomer and editing, and José Luis Garci for Historia de un beso won best photography: composer Alberto Iglesias for his original score for Almodovar’s Hable Con Ella [+see also:

, and Patricia Ferriera for best screenplay (adaptation) of El alquimista impaziente. Mercedes Sampietro for Lugares comunes. Roman Polanski’s The Pianist [+see also:
