After a decade on the Belgian market, production company, Artémis Productions, is about to open a French office. Artemis Productions is known for its co-productions.
The announcement was made by Artemis executive Patrick Quinet during the presentation of Frédéric Fonteyne’s (Une Relation Pornographique) fourth feature film. The film is based on a Belgian novel of the 30s entitled “La Femme de Gilles” and is scheduled to go into production in the summer of 2003, starring Italy's Stefano Accorsi.
Artemis Productions are determined to work with Belgian filmmakers and chose Nord-Ouest Production to be their French minority partner in this new enterprise. The joint venture was a logical step since the two companies have already worked together on the production of a number of titles including Christian Carion’s Une hirondelle a fait le printemps.
