Science Fiction hits the Belgian market

by

Science Fiction, the new film for children by Flemish director, Danny Deprez, will be released on 23 October onto 20 Belgian screens.
The film's distributor, Cinélibre, doubled the initial number of prints following a highly successful run of sneak previews organised at the recent festivals of Gand and Utrecht, where Science Fiction was very well received by both audiences and exhibitors. Belgian children’s television, KetNet, will air the “making of” of this amusing and highly original movie from the director of De Bal.
Science Fiction is the story of a 10-year-old little boy called Andreas who, with encouragement from an imaginary friend, decides that his parents are extra-terrestrials and decides to investigate. Science Fiction was produced by Jean Claude van Rijckeghem in co-production with Belgium’s Man’s Film, Fu Works and B&T Film Produktion from the Netherlands, as well as financial support from Fonds Film in Vlaanderen, the French Community in Belgium’s Film and Audiovisual Centre, the Rotterdam Film Fund, Tros, CoBo, and the Berlin Brandenburg Film Fund and Eurimages.
