Unifrance from Prague to Mumbai

The international promotion of French cinema is moving from one continent to another this week for tomorrow, the 13th Czech Republic French Film Festival will close, while Saturday will mark the opening of the 3rd Rendez-Vous With French Cinema in India. These two events are organised by Unifrance in collaboration with local French embassies.

The Czech Republic French Film Festival, which opened on November 25 and is taking place in 16 cinemas in Prague and seven provincial towns (Brno, Olomouc, Ostrava, Plzen, Ceske Budejovice, Pardubice and Hradec Kralove), has a line-up of 49 films. The delegation travelling to Mumbai includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Julie Ferrier, Assayas, Ozon, Cluzaud and Jérôme Seydoux. Finally, in order to help Indian distributors to discover and circulate French films, Unifrance has set up specific funding for dubbing in three languages for theatrical distribution.
