Oscillating between fantasy and surrealist comedy, The Pack is set in a small restaurant in the middle of nowhere where its owner captures the travellers to feed to ghouls. "I wanted to return to an atmospheric fantasy cinema which distances itself from the wave of torture films which are unfurling on our screens nowadays," explains the director. "I seek my inspiration from the likes of Franju, Tourneur and Carpenter (…) By using my past (the closure of mines in the Lorraine region in the 80s and 90s) and the traditions of a French region, I have tried to offer something new, avoiding as much as possible copying American titles."

A French (73%)/Belgian (27%) co-production linking La Fabrique 2 and BE-Films, The Pack is financed by a €2.87m budget which includes pre-sales from Canal +, TPS Star and Ciné Cinéma, as well as backing from the Motion Investment Group, Coficup, Cofinova and Soficinéma.
