Festival of German Films celebrates 10th anniversary in Buenos Aires

After nine successful festival years, expectations are high for the 10th edition of the Festival of German Films in Buenos Aires (September 23 – 29). The jubilee year will see eleven new feature films, a documentary, a children’s film as well as the Next Generation 2010 program of shorts and the screening of F. W. Murnau’s silent film The Last Laugh with musical accompaniment by the Trio Antepenúltimo.

) will be travelling to Buenos Aires to introduce their films.

, on Central Africa’s only symphony orchestra, L’Orchestre Symphonique Kimbanguiste. Younger audience and families can enjoy Hanni & Nanni [+see also:

, based on Enid Blyton’s successful series of books.

Festival-goers will vote for their favourite film and the winner of the Audience Award will be shown again on closing night.

Event partners are the German Embassy and Goethe Institut in Buenos Aires, Kodak, the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Murnau Stiftung, Transit Film, Multi Logistics, Deutsche Welle-TV, Volkswagen, Revista Llegás, Eurochannel and Cátulo Tango.
