Un Certain Regard honours Asian and South American films

Europe is almost absent from the prize list in the Un Certain Regard section, which is part of the official selection at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival. Awarded by a jury presided by filmmaker Claire Denis, the Grand Prize 2010 went to Korean feature Ha Ha Ha by seasoned director Hong Sangsoo.

A prize for Best Acting Performance was also handed to the three actresses in Ivan Fund and Santiago Loza’s Argentine film The Lips: Adela Sanchez, Eva Bianco and Vittoria Raposo.
