Newfound company In 1 Productions, created by former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, is launching the film The Longest Cocktail Party based on Richard DiLello’s eponymous novel about the Beatles’ Apple Corps. The announcement came yesterday at Cannes.

In 1968, US-born DiLello was hired to join the Apple press office run by Derek Taylor –in the role of “House Hippie”. For two years, the American was part of the amazing daily life of Apple. The film will provide an insider’s look at what it meant to be a young man caught up in the whirlwind of the music business, celebrities and the tail end of London’s swinging sixties.
