The Day Will Come in competition at Thessaloniki

A total of 19 German (co)productions are being shown at the 50th Thessaloniki International Film Festival (November 13-22). The festival will be presenting a comprehensive Werner Herzog retrospective with 52 films documenting his oeuvre.

The festival will open on November 13 with Fatih Akin's Soul Kitchen [+see also:

(Israel/Germany) by Scandar Copti and Yaron Shani will be in the running for the Golden Alexander prize in the International Competition.

Harun Farocki’s By Comparison and Two Projects by Friedrich Kiessler by Heinz Emigholz will be presented in the parallel section In Comparison. Hans Richter’s 1927 title Ghosts Before Breakfast can be seen in Avant Garde for Children.
