A Prophet passes 1m mark

has surpassed the 1m admissions mark after five weeks on release.

Launched by UGC Distribution on a 280-print run on August 26 and still showing on 358 French screens, the film has so far amassed €6m at the local box office. This despite its 155-minute run-time, which limits the number of daily screenings.

Scheduled for release in Russia on October 8, A Prophet will hit screens in Italy on October 30, the UK on January 15, 2010, the Netherlands on February 4, the US on February 12 and Spain on February 19.
