Donkey goes to Hollywood
The Croatian Association of Filmmakers has chosen Antonio Nuic's Donkey [+see also:

film profile] as the country's submission for the Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award.
Co-produced by Propeler Film Film (Croatia), Film and Music Entertainment (UK), Bas Celik (Serbia) and Manufaktura (Bosnia and Herzegovina), the family drama won Best Screenplay, Cinematography and Music at Croatia's national Pula Film Festival.
It tells the story of a family going back to Herzegovina at the end of the war in Croatia and resolving decade-long issues. The film features excellent performances from Nebojsa Glogovac, Emir Hadzihafizbegovic, Natasa Janjic and Tonko Lonza.
Continental Film released Donkey domestically on September 16 on six prints.
