UK Film Council CEO John Woodward said, “Toronto shows how the UK film industry continues to consistently produce exciting new films that can earn a place in the international marketplace. The fact that nine of them have been funded with public money demonstrates how important that investment is in getting independent films made in what is an increasingly tough economic climate.
