Markus Imboden

Swiss director and screenwriter. Born in 1955 in Interlaken. He studied German studies and history at the University of Zurich. He worked as an assistant director at theatres in Zurich and Cologne. Since 1986, he has been an independent film director and screenwriter. Lecturer at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. His feature film The Foster Boy has become the most successful Swiss film.
