Juraj Nvota

Film, television, stage director and also actor from Slovakia. Born in 1954 in Bratislava. Graduated in stage direction from Bratislava's Academy of Performing Arts (1977). He has appeared in the films of Dušan Hanák, Martin Šulík and other directors, and he became famous in the role of postman Jakub in Hanák's film The Rosy Dreams (1976). He made his first feature Cruel Joys in 2002. His second film Music was presented at the Warsaw Film Festival in 2008. He lectures at the Department of Theatre Direction and Dramaturgy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (Source: Warsaw Film Festival)
