Imanol Uribe

Imanol Uribe, director, writer and producer, has won San Sebastian Festival’s Golden Shell twice, with Días contados (1994), which also won the Best Film, Best Director and another six Goyas in 1995, and with Bwana (1996). Previously, at the same Festival, he won the Pearl of the Cantabrian Award for Best Spanish Language Film with El proceso de Burgos (The Burgos Trial, 1979). With Miel de naranjas (Orange Honey, 2012) he reaped Best Director and Best Screenplay at the Malaga Festival. Other major titles in his directorial work are La fuga de Segovia (Escape from Segovia, 1981), La muerte de Mikel (Mikel’s Death, 1983), El rey pasmado (The Dumfounded King, 1991) and El viaje de Carol(Carol’s Journey, 2002).
