Frédéric Fonteyne

Belgian film director, writer and actor. Born in 1968. He studied film at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion in Louvain-la-Neuve. He directed several award-winning short films before his feature debut Max et Bobo (1998). His subsequent feature films An Affair of Love (WFF 2000) and Gilles' Wife (2004) won various awards, including at the Venice festival. He works regularly with the scriptwriter Philippe Blasband. His latest film Tango Libre premiered at the Venice festival.
