Dirk Lütter

Born in Neuss, Germany in 1970, Dirk Lutter studied cinematography at SFOF in Berlin, then directing at the Cologne Academy of Media Arts and scriptwriting at the Berlin School of Film and Television.

He has worked as a camera assistant and freelance cinematographer since 2000 and pursued a parallel career as a director of short films.

These include: 50374 Erftstadt (2001), Heroes (2005), The Invisible Hand (2006) and Nicht wie jeder (co-directed with Carmen Losmann). The Education marks his directorial debut in features. (Montreal World Film Festival)
