synopsis

After growing up in northern Sardinia, twenty-year old Massimo comes to Cagliari to work for his uncle. Along with their apartment in the Marina district, the two soon share the day-to-day friction of living together. Massimo’s dreams of becoming a writer and tries to get his first novel published. Smart and witty, he is living in a large, multiracial city for the very first time. He falls in love with a young Cuban female dancer and gravitates to a group of artists whose philosophy of life echoes the film’s title: What Goes Around, Comes Around. But every rite of initiation has its dark side, and so Massimo is forced to deal the anguish of his uncertainties.
