Alex, a young man who does dialysis treatment, struggles not to allow his health condition to take over his life. He studies martial arts, and his dream of being reborn to a better life slowly becomes a reality. He creates his own martial art, “the breath of the soul”, to win his deep seated fears and show himself and the world that he can be like everyone else. However his father does not approve of this and Nico, an arrogant young fellow who also practices martial art, becomes Alex’s nemesis. The meeting with Luna, a young woman whom Alex often sees at the hospital, is magical and they fall in love. Alex also meets Tai Ping, a mysterious Chinese woman, who will become his spiritual guide.
