LA CAPTURE

by Carole Laure

synopsis

Rose hardly ever tells lies. She has a natural elegance and sincerity that few 20-year-old girls possess. However, neither her friends nor her boyfriend know about her difficult past. She’s managed to hide it well, even though she is still haunted by her father’s violence. She lives with her boyfriend Nathan in Montreal. After a two-year absence, she goes back to visit her mother and brother Félix in her native suburb. The family situation hasn’t changed. She’s worried about their future and so decides to intervene in their lives. With the help of two boys, Rose kidnaps and shuts her father away in an apartment rented for this purpose. The young girl tries to change him through beauty. But Rose’s fierce determination comes up against her father’s unyielding resistance. So it’s Rose who changes and gradually becomes the head of the family...
