ANDRES AND ME

by Andrea Adriatico

synopsis

What has happened to Andres Carrera? Why has this well-educated and attractive young man, who is about to become a father, suddenly disappeared into thin air? This is a story of profound existential angst. The angst of one person, an expert in communication, capable of writing speeches for politicians hungry for power and victory. A ghost writer who is seemingly unaware of the weight of ideologies, the notion of taking sides, the substance of ideas. Winning and convincing people is all that counts. It doesn’t matter what argument you use to achieve this. Why then – when he is at a turning point in his life, and has a child on the way and a final formidable election speech written for a politician who will certainly win thanks to his words – does Andres disappear?
