synopsis

A man in his forties delivers parcels by hand to cities all over the world. After having performed these courier services in Berlin, London, Barcelona and Reykjavik, he lands in New York on a similar mission, only to discover that his client had died. This unexpected news means he has to wait, thus departing from his usual ritual of taking a plane, taxi or underground, arriving at the client’s, handing over the packet, then, as he waits for daybreak, shining his shoes and rolling up his clothes to place them in a particular order in his suitcase, and setting off for another rendezvous. Insomniac, growing increasingly tired, he comes across a female hotel employee, an encounter that once again shatters his strictly timed habits, that do not allow for anything unexpected...
