THE NAUTICAL CHART

by Imanol Uribe

synopsis

Coy is a sailor removed from his post after an accident took place on his watch. In Barcelona, during an auction of naval objects, he meets the beautiful and mysterious Tanger. Like the Italian adventurer Nino Palermo, the woman wants the Maritime Atlas of Urrutia, a cartographic jewel. Soon, Horacio Kiskoros enters the scene. An Argentinean with a shady past, he resorts to much more expedient methods for getting what he wants. Coy slowly discovers that the three have a common goal: the Dei Gloria, a brig that was shipwrecked three centuries off the coast of Carthage and that used to carry a mysterious treasure connected to the expulsion of the Jesuits from Spain.
