PRISONERS

by Iain Dilthey

synopsis

A woman who lives opposite a prison starts to shoot flirtatious glances at a prisoner, feeling herself safe because of the distance between them. One day, however, the prisoner escapes and takes refuge in her apartment. The relationship that develops between them is ambivalent, fed by unconfessed desires and fears. With the police closing in, the woman decides to give up everything and follow her prisoner/jailer towards a new life which she sees opening up before her.
