THE COLOUR OF WORDS

by Philippe Blasband

synopsis

Marie, is a young woman suffering from dysphasia. Sometimes her mother tongue sounds like a foreign language to her. From one encounter to another, we measure the gap between Marie and the rest of the world, a gap that is very difficult to overcome. For in addition to her abnormality, which has caused her deep pain since childhood, other barriers are about to isolate her even more: unemployment, drinking too much and the fact that she is deprived of her own child. Yet behind her pride, aggressiveness and rejection of pity lies an enormous hunger for love.
