EYENGUI, THE GOD OF DREAMS
synopsis
In the heart of the equatorial African jungle a group of Baka pygmies are confronting the destruction of their world. Trapped in the Neolithic age, the Baka have never left the thick vegetation. They only know the jungle which they call “Eyengui”. The indiscriminate felling of trees by the lumber companies is destroying the habitat of the pygmies. Now they have no communication with Eyengui, with their God, with the jungle. So a fascinating adventure starts with the modern world against the Neolithic, so-called civilization against a thousand-year-old culture, love of nature against white man’s unbridled greed. The aim of the Baka is to get back their God, Eyengui.
