synopsis

An allegorical story of the dividing line between reality and unreality, Nuclear is about a young girl losing the protection of her mother, forced to navigate a hostile world alone. Following an act of violence committed by her own brother, Emma escapes with her mother and finds refuge in an isolated retreat in the shadow of a nuclear power station. Fearful that the brother will return to continue his act of violence, Emma has to confront her own ghosts and her own guilt in order to be free of her toxic family.
