HOTEL AUSCHWITZ

by Cornelius Schwalm

synopsis

Theatre director Martin wants to put “The Investigation” by Peter Weiss on stage, a piece about the Holocaust. In order to live up to the big topic he goes on a trip to Auschwitz with some members of the ensemble. Besides he wants to take the opportunity to get closer to his favourite actress. Sabine, however has different plans. When Goska, a Polish Jew joins the group, the situation gets out of hand… All characters are driven by their desire of belonging, power and success.
A pitch-black tragicomedy, far off political correctness, asking what have we in the here and now still got to do with Auschwitz.
