synopsis

A circus troupe arrives at a town in Castile where they set up their tent. They devise changes in the style of their show because they wish to change the way society treats them. But they spend their days arguing about the value of things, from the grandeur of the landscape to the simplicity of the native architecture or the quality of each other's performances. After planning, they start evaluating, to end up adhering to the original agreed script.
