HAPPY LAMENTO

by Alexander Kluge

synopsis

Happy Lamento in German translates to ‘glückliches Trauerlied’. The feature-length music film features the young master director Khavn de la Cruz from Manila. It's all about the circus, about electricity - but above all about the song Blue Moon, to which Elvis Presley lent his voice. Helge Schneider appears as a light snake man and Heiner Müller philosophizes about the moon.
