Ricki, a unisex-dressed young woman, spends her days lounging and committing petty theft. In the film, there are often long stretches of idle chat between friends but Ricki's precarious situation is always engrossing, as she inhabits the margins of Greek society, far from the family protection and sensible plans of most people her age.
