ANYTHING FOR ALICE

by Nicolas Cuche

synopsis

Thirty-year-old Max has made a killing with the Internet with his two buddies and can now spend his life lazing in the sun. But he becomes quickly bored with this lifestyle and can't stop thinking about Alice, who he fancied when he was at university. A bubbly, socially commited young woman full of ideals... who was never interested in him. To get closer to Alice, Max buys the bankrupt factory where she works and, hiding his fortune and his new boss status, passes himself off as a simple worker. Prepared to do anything, he blithely spends money to make Alice, her son Valentin and all the factory workers happy. He leaves his millionaire life behind to work on the assembly line, continuing to lie because he's afraid he'll disappoint everyone otherwise.
