by Philippe Triboit

synopsis

Etienne Brenner, fortyish and handsome, has been married to Vera for a long time and is the father of 16-year-old Chloe. A professor of medicine at the university, he has a charisma that awes his students. A researcher in infectiology, he is in the vanguard of anti-viral research. While taking his usual 4:19 pm train, he finds himself in a car where some young delinquents are raping a young woman. Sitting at the other end of the car, he hears the drama, but doesn't react.
