THE LAKE
synopsis
This is a story of lost love and missed opportunities. Anne, an English woman in her early seventies, is incorrectly diagnosed with terminal cancer. As she believes she has only a few weeks to live, she travels to a lake in northern Italy where she restored paintings as a young girl after the Second World War. Anne wishes to discover what happened to Antonio, her first and only passionate love, from whom she was forced to flee in unexplained circumstances.
