Whore does not sermonise or judge, but takes a presentational and informative stance on its controversial subject. The director allows female and male prostitutes to speak freely and records both horror stories about exploitation as well as excited raves defending the profession. The result is an exceptionally outspoken documentary drama about an ever-topical subject.
