synopsis

This South African movie takes a close-up look at car hijacking and life in the townships in general. A struggling young actor is up for a role in a gangster movie, but he lacks ''street cred''. So to improve his chances, he heads back to the townships, where he hooks up with an old childhood friend, now the boss of a carjacking gang. The two friends start working together, but as the actor gets deeper into crime, he finds it harder to keep his life on track. His gang boss friend, meanwhile, sees an opportunity to change his own life for the better...
