MILVIO BRIDGE

by Roberto Meddi

synopsis

A couple of old people must decide whether to go and live in an old people’s home or not. A young student is in financial straits: her mother is a drug addict and the only way the girl can get some money is by selling her body. Unfortunately wanting something is not always enough and a transvestite helps her.
A pair of tramps who live on the banks of the Tiber river meet an engineer who has decided to fight the degradation of the universe by going to live in a shack. A father who is too busy with his own life neglects his son who decides to attract his attention by running away from home. A thief tries to solve his financial problems by digging an underground tunnel.
Five very different stories linked by the fact that they all take place near one of Rome’s oldest bridges, Ponte Milvio in north Rome a part of the city that once was working class.
