LOAFING AND CAMOUFLAGE: I-4

by Vassilis Katsikis

synopsis

Several new recruits, each of whom, for his own reasons, would like to be exempt from Greece’s compulsory military service, are forced to serve as I-4, which means they’re not allowed to carry a weapon. The group will find themselves on an Aegean island near the border with Turkey, where they are forced to co-exist with and play the “dummies” for a group of commandos training for important military maneuvers. The difficulties and hazing they have to endure will bring the I-4ers closer together, their sense of humor and inventiveness finally triumphing over the“jarheads.”
