PROVE PER UNA TRAGEDIA SICILIANA

by Roman Paska, John Turturro

synopsis

A declaration of love for Sicily. The island is seen through the lucid, affectionate eyes of an Italo-American who returns to the land of his ancestors’ (Turturro’s maternal grandparents came from Palermo and Aragona in the province of Agrigento), to rediscover his own roots and the island’s traditions and modernity. Turturro is in Sicily to carry out surveys for a film he has been thinking about for some time, one that will be made using the material in this diary of his research.
