WARRIORS OF LOVE
by Simon Staho
synopsis
Danish landscapes, in black and white. A forest, a lake, fields. Then two young girls on a train, sitting opposite and staring at each other. Ida is blond, pretty, and delicate. Karin is a plump and sturdy brunette. It is she who breaks the silence, to talk about the father. Ida does not respond, not wanting to discuss the man who has raped her. Karin offers her her little finger, the gesture children make to swear eternal friendship. But these two young girls are far more than friends; they are in love, and on their way to the father from whom Ida expects cathartic excuses.
